Key Stage 4

Our Secondary School aims to instil confidence and preparedness in our young people for life in the 21st century. We aim to encourage and develop knowledgeable, enquiring and caring citizens who are equipped with skills for further study, life and work beyond their school years. With our outstanding curriculum and engaging, interactive lessons, your child will not only be academically prepared, but able to think critically and use their emotional literacy to engage in creating a better future with intercultural respect and understanding at the forefront.

For all pupils enrolling in Key Stage 4, we strongly recommend selecting a minimum of the following subjects in line with the English Baccalaureate (EBacc). The EBacc is a set of GCSE subjects recommended by the UK government to enhance pupils’ future prospects in further study and/or employment. These subjects are:

  • English Language

  • English Literature

  • Maths (Higher or Foundation)

  • The sciences (either Double Award Science or 3 sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science)

Hifdh-ul-Qur’an

At Read Meta online school, we are proud to facilitate Hifdh-ul-Qur’an, complete memorisation of the Holy Qur’an.

Our experienced teachers not only focus on flawless memorisation but also exercise great caution in ensuring proper Tajweed and Qawaid.

This is because we understand the sacredness of our Holy Book and ensure our students follow the Arabic dialect to avoid any conflict.

Please note that Hifdh-ul-Quran is completely optional and we reserve the right to refuse a student based on their capabilities. We believe it’s essential to maintain the decorum of the Holy Qur’an.

How do online primary school lessons work?

We keep our class sizes small (no more than 20 pupils per class). We know this is hugely beneficial to our pupils’ learning experience. All of our lessons are taught live by our team of experienced primary school teachers that are there every step of the way to encourage a passion for learning.

Just like in any traditional primary school, your child will be supported by the same dedicated class teacher across all subjects. This means our teachers can really get to know you and your child, building and maintaining home school partnerships throughout the academic year.

We encourage active participation in all live lessons. We also set independent learning tasks to follow on from lessons and consolidate learning.
